Description
Still red from Piedmont, produced by Braida. Barbera d'Asti Bricco della Bigotta, 2020 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A wine that embodies the passion and history of the Bologna family, with 20 days of maceration on the skins and 15 months of aging in barrique, followed by a further year in the bottle. Rich, intense, and persistent aroma, very well-developed, with notes of licorice, violet, plum, and vanilla. Garnet-ruby red in color with purple highlights. On the palate, fruit and spices emerge, ranging from roasted to boldly spicy, particularly balanced, vigorous, and intense. The richness of the expression comes from the spices that envelop the ripe plum pulp (the most evident fruit), lending it smoothness and power.

Along with his father’s nickname Giacomo also inherited his love of the sport and of horses, and a large Barbera vineyard on the Rocchetta hills. Read more
