Description
What kind of wine it is
The Champagne V6 Experience Brut by André Clouet is a Traditional Method sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. In the glass, it displays a golden straw-yellow hue, animated by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, fragrant aromas of peach, pear and white-fleshed fruit stand out, intertwined with hints of freshly baked bread and toasted dried fruit. The palate is distinctly creamy and elegant, offering a long-lasting finish. Its dynamic and savoury closure makes it ideal for pairing with fish dishes, shellfish and cheese selections.
Where it comes from
This Champagne from André Clouet originates in the Bouzy area of France, a Grand Cru classified region historically renowned for Pinot Noir cultivation. The unique soil and climate conditions of this area enhance the grape variety, giving the wine a clear territorial identity. Careful selection of grapes from local vineyards ensures a technical approach focused on finesse and persistence. The deep connection with this terroir results in a sparkling wine of remarkable structure and energy, perfectly balanced by a fresh and luminous palate.
How it is produced
The vinification of Champagne V6 Experience Brut strictly follows the principles of the Traditional Method. The cuvée rests for over six years on its lees, a crucial period for developing an enveloping texture and integrating toasted notes. It is precisely in this sixth year that the wine reaches the so-called turbine phase, a stage of evolution in which it acquires vibrant energy and profound sensory complexity. This meticulous process shapes a harmonious Brut dry profile, where the effervescence merges into a refined and lasting balance.

It took more than two centuries and several generations of Clouet to get plots of vines in the terroir of Bouzy, which remain in the hands of the family of its founder. Bouzy is situated in the Southern part of the Mountain of Reims. The 9 hectares are classified as 100% Grand Cru. Only 17 of the 300 existing villages benefit from the status of Grand Cru, Bouzy being one of them. Lovingly tended vines ripen perfectly Bouzy pinot noir, one of the world's most complex strains. There is 8,000 feet per acre and soils are cool with calcareous clay. Read more
