Description
Amara is a handcrafted amaro with extraordinary characteristics, embodying all the passion and aroma of Sicily and the Mediterranean. Produced in Misterbianco, a municipality on the slopes of Mount Etna in the province of Catania, Amara is distributed by the young and creative Rosso Sicily company, owned by the Mazza brothers. The company's goal is to enhance and contribute to the development of the region. To this end, the company is committed to using as many raw materials and the excellent natural resources that Sicily has to offer as possible. Amara is thus a blend primarily based on Sicilian blood oranges. The result is a one-of-a-kind amaro, which opens sweetly, then releases a bitter flavor that preserves all the Mediterranean aroma. Amara is made using the peel of oranges belonging to the Tarocco cultivar. Specifically, these are Gallo and Nocellara oranges, grown over many hectares in the Catania area. These varieties are distinguished by their prominent base, garnet-red peel, and deep red flesh. Amara's recipe is also expertly enriched with an infusion of selected wild herbs. Finally, water, obtained by reverse osmosis, completes the recipe along with sugar and alcohol. This product contains no food additives.

In fact, Rossa was born from the passion and boundless love for Sicily of two enthusiastic entrepreneurs and friends, who with enthusiasm ventured into a project with a Sicilian flavor.
Thanks to a catchy and fresh marketing, innovative packaging, but above all to its unmistakable aroma of red orange, which expresses Sicily and its wonderful citrus fruits in sip, the Amara Liquor immediately gathers numerous consents both in national and foreign fields.
The orange liqueur, Amara, comes to life in a short time, thanks to a traditional recipe revisited in a modern key, naturally based on red oranges from Sicily, grown on the slopes of Etna, near Catania.
The characteristic conformity of the surrounding territory, the rich soil and the strong thermal excursions allow the Sicilian citrus fruits to find the ideal place for their optimal development, reaching very high quality standards, like that of the Sicilian Red Oranges PGI, in the three cultivated varieties: Tarocco (the best known), Moro and Sanguinello.
Unique Sicilian bitterness, it contains the genuineness and the rural tradition, offering a craft liqueur with intense Mediterranean references and a strong character, in line with the values ??of the land of origin. Read more
