San Salvatore 1988

Details are what make things special.

The small differences that make a difference together. As our story, which begins in the mid-40s in Boscoreale, on the slopes of Vesuvius. Perhaps they had also seen a buffalo in the vineyards because it is from their encounter that this story starts. Other times, fragments of emotions that are being rediscovered today in our love for organic or biodynamic agriculture, but are never intensive.

We do not stress our vines and respect the ecological referential identity, rhythms and traditions of a special terroir. A land with optimal soil and climatic conditions, where the Greeks about 3000 years ago, had planted their vineyards: the Cilento National Park, is an area distributed among Stio, Paestum and Giungano.

And it is here, at 700m from the vineyard and with in eye view of the Temples, we have also our modern winery, equipped with a 96kW photovoltaic system that allows us to minimize the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Yesterday we were winemakers and farmers. Today we are a farm of 97 hectares, of which 21.5 vineyards and the rest divided between orchards, olive groves and woods, and 450 buffaloes that are exported all over the world, from Australia to the United States. Tomorrow, we will be something more: a series of outlets where our products and the best products of the national park will be prepared by the only hands that cook for and with love: women's hands, the hands of housewives.

But this is a story that begins tomorrow.
