Domaine du Tremblay

Just west of Sancerre and Menetou Salon are Quincy and Reuilly. Quincy is the oldest white wine AOC in France (since 1936, only AOC Chateauneuf du Pape is older for red). Sauvignon blanc thrives on sandy soils, just like in Sancerre and Menetou. The producers are not dogmatic and look closely at their colleagues in Marlborough, New Zealand. Modern techniques such as cutting the leaves (resulting in less photosynthesis) ensure a fresh and excellent quality wine.

Domaine du Tremblay is part of the Domaines Tatin, the collective name of the family domains of Jean Tatin and Chantal Wilk (alongside Le Tremblay: Ballandore and Les Demoiselles Tatin). Jean and Chantal produce high quality wines.
