Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux

The property was founded in 1858, now Florence (no Arnoux) and Pascal Lachaux are the fifth generation to handle this estate. It was something of a fatal accident that brought Pascal to Vosne as he worked as a pharmacist and, on the road to starting a new job, agreed to help his father in harvest right. He never left.

Florence and Pascal have steadily invested over the years in the Domaine, building new cuisines, renovating the cellar and recently building an elegant tasting room next to the Florence office. They also invested in vineyards, building the Domaine at fourteen acres today, with the purchase of Latricières Chambertin, which is their most recent addition to the wineries. Pascal also buys grapes and makes a négociant wine under the name Maison Pascal Lachaux.

Since 2008 the name Domaine has changed to Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux. The future seems safe with three sons of Lachaux, the oldest of whom Charles has just completed his BEN of oenology in Beaune and is going to Oregon and South Africa to get a precious winemaking experience, far from home.
