Description
Ruggeri Prosecco Giustino B Extra Dry is the perfect expression of a territory highly suited to quality viticulture. This sparkling wine falls within the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG denomination. The production area for this wine is characterized by good exposure, adequate temperature ranges, and good soil composition. The soil, in fact, is able to retain the necessary water, avoiding harmful waterlogging. The Glera grape variety has found in Valdobbiadene the ideal habitat for growth and vigor. The grapes produced in this small area are endowed with greater aromatic richness than all the others in the wine-growing district. But why the name Giustino B.? The sparkling wine is intended as a tribute to the founder Giustino Bisol, who started this business back in 1950. This wine, which has received numerous awards and recognitions, is the result of careful research and experimentation aimed at achieving an extraordinary product. Geographically, the production area of Giustino B. from the Ruggeri winery is located in the northern province of Treviso. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in crates to prevent premature bursting. As soon as they arrive at the cellar, the grapes are soft pressed. This is followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine then rests until spring. Before being placed in an autoclave for secondary fermentation, it is inoculated with selected yeasts. Bottling and release for sale take place around early June.

Ruggeri’s roots stretch far back to the nineteenth century, to Eliseo Bisol, who, along with his son Luigi was one of the first winemakers in Valdobbiadene. The business’s significant growth began in 1950 when Giustino Bisol founded the current winery with his cousin, and it was his surname, Ruggeri, that was chosen as the company name. The unswerving commitment to excellence continued with the work of Giustino’s son, Paolo, and granddaughter Isabella.
Since 2017, Ruggeri has been part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Group, a highly fruitful partnership which has paired our shared visions, trust in common values and a mutual commitment to ever higher quality standards. Read more
