Description

What kind of wine it is

Legrand Latour's Champagne Turbidité Brut Nature is a refined Brut Nature with a pronounced territorial identity, born from a harmonious blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. Crafted using the Traditional Method, this wine appears in the glass with a straw yellow colour and a fine perlage. The bouquet combines delicate fruity aromas with pronounced mineral notes, leading to a fresh, taut and dry palate, perfect for enhancing seafood crudo, sushi and cheeses.

Where it comes from

This Champagne is born in the renowned Vallée de la Marne, a French wine region of inestimable geological value. Legrand Latour is dedicated to caring for these vineyards through organic and sustainable farming practices. The agronomic work follows a careful geo-oenological approach, specifically designed to highlight the characteristics of a subsoil rich in fossils. This deep connection with the land gives the wine an authentic and vibrant mineral tension, faithfully reflecting the features of the terroir in every sip.

How it is produced

This Champagne is created through a rigorous production process entirely based on the Traditional Method. The absence of sugar dosage defines its pure pas dosé identity, resulting in a taut and vertical tasting experience. The prolonged ageing on the lees structures the body of the wine and refines its flavour profile, laying the foundation for remarkable longevity. Thanks to this meticulous process, the wine is able to evolve in the cellar for over a decade, enriching its aromatic profile over time.

History and Curiosities

For four generations, the Legrand Latour house has cultivated its own vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne, combining respect for tradition with sustainable practices. This rare cuvée is born from a rigorous geo-oenological approach, designed to enhance the profound minerality of a subsoil rich in fossils. Crafted according to the traditional method with a long maturation on the lees, this refined organic Champagne in pure Brut Nature style offers an authentic expression of the terroir, capable of evolving magnificently in the cellar for a period of ten to fifteen years.

From this winery
For four generations, we have endeavoured to cultivate the vines and to produce our champagnes with respect for tradition by applying new working techniques and modernising the House's equipment.

Having the honour of being the representative of Champagne Legrand-Latour today, it is my duty to preserve the values we hold dear. My father's passion for researching fossils in our terroir led me, through a geo-oenological approach, to express the influence of this Champagne subsoil, rich in fossils, and to highlight the mineral expression of our champagnes.
