Ours is a young firm but of ancient winemaking origins. It was in fact in 1888 that my great-grandfather Giacomo Anfosso replanted the vineyard of Poggio Pini in Soldano.
Some of those vines are still in existence. Our Rossese di Dolceacqua Superiore is born there.
In 2002 my wife Marisa and I decided to take on an adventure in the world of wine and we took over management of the vineyards from my father Luciano. Today our estate covers around 42,000 m2, of which 13,000 m2 in Soldano in the locality of Poggio Pini. Instead another 29,000 m2 of vineyards are situated in the municipality of San Biagio della Cima in the area known as Luvaira. We cultivate our vineyards with hard work and sweat.
Our wine is born on precipices between the sea and the mountains, with steep slopes, on terraces held up by dry stone walls where the work of man is constant and mechanisation is totally absent. It takes passion and love for such a hard earth which in the meantime succeeds in giving great satisfaction in the quality of its grapes and wines.
