Biserno is our eponymous wine. A thought-provoking wine, Biserno reflects the excellent terroir and micro-climate of the coastal area of the Upper Maremma. Only the finest grapes are selected for the blend, resulting in a wine of depth, intensity, complexity, longevity and elegance.

The soils, mainly alluvial and clay-limestone, create an ideal environment for the selected varieties: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot.
The vineyard’s varied exposures and its distance from the sea deeply influence the varietal expression: hence the decision to split production into Biserno – the company's most prestigious and representative wine – and Pino di Biserno, which conveys the territory in a more dynamic way. Read more

| Harvest | All harvesting is done by hand into 15 kg crates. From mid September to early October. |
| Wine making | Grapes are strictly sorted on a vibrating belt at the cellar. They are then de-stemmed and soft crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks at 28°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place 80% in barriques and 20% in stainless steel. |
| Aging | The wine is aged for 15 months in new French oak barriques. The wine is further aged for 12 months in the bottle before release. |
