Description
Still red wine from Campania, 13.5% ABV, produced by Tenuta Cavalier Pepe, Irpinia DOC, 2022 vintage. An Aglianico made from vineyards in Luogosano, Sant'Angelo all'Esca, and Taurasi, this wine expresses the elegance and passion of a family that has been dedicated to viticulture for generations. Blend: 85% Aglianico, 15% Merlot. Aged on the lees in both wood and stainless steel, it then matures for at least 6 months in the bottle. Aromas reminiscent of black cherry and blackberry with light notes of black pepper and bitter cocoa, all against a pleasant backdrop of sweet spices. Intense ruby red color. Soft, with elegant tannins, savory and persistent with an aftertaste reminiscent of berries, black cherry, and aromatic herbs.
