Description
Still red, 14.5% ABV, produced by Prunotto in Piedmont. Nizza DOCG Costamiole, 2022 vintage. A Barbera that expresses the excellence of Nizza, with careful vinification and aging that enhances its complexity. Aged for approximately 12 months in new French oak barrels. Upon arrival at the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and crushed. To optimize maceration, twice daily pumping over was performed at a maximum temperature of approximately 30°C. On the nose, aromas of fruit, plum, and cherry, combine with notes of violet, cinnamon, cocoa, and leather. A very deep ruby red color with dark purple highlights. On the palate, it is enveloping, rich in soft yet well-structured tannins.
