Description
Barolo Riserva has the characteristic of being aged longer than Barolo that is three years in large 1500-litre Slavonian oak barrels instead of two years. We have also experimented over the years with different passages in ceramic amphorae, starting from 100-litre containers for 2 / 3 / 6 months up to the amphorae we we use now, i.e. 500 litres each for 1.5 / 2 years in total. The wine does not undergoes an evolution as in wood but is refined as if in a large bottle, slowly, until bottling, developing the famous tertiary aromas typical of great Barolo wines and great reserves.
