Description
The highest expression of the finesse of the wine obtained from Nebbiolo grapes is unquestionably to be found in Barbaresco. Production of this wine is extremely limited, for only in the choicest positions in the communes of Barbaresco,Treiso and Nieve is it possible to plant Nebbiolo vineyards for its production. For many years Michele Chiarlo has pursued the fundamental principles for its production in this prestigious area: he has chosen the most suited terrains with excellent exposition; he has limited the yield per rootstock; he has followed with great care the vinification and ageing operations. These are the only "secrets" behind Michele Chiarlo's Barbaresco.
