The nose immediately reveals spice, minerality, at times smoky, reminiscent of citrus peel, sweet-skinned fruit, but with leathery skin, plum, gooseberry, then moves on to more vegetal notes, vine leaf, elder flowers and essential oils of bergamot, dill and wild fennel.

On the palate it has excellent tension, very direct, clean, thirst-quenching, pleasantly dry; the saline acid component emerges significantly, giving juiciness, but above all lengthening the hints, which return to the chalk dust, lymphatic and vegetable notes.

Le Marchesine is a well-known winery located in the heart of Franciacorta, owned by the Biatta family.The winery, which has been in business for 4 generations, boasts some 47 hectares of vineyards, dedicated essentially to Guyot vine cultivation.They mainly produce Franciacorta Docg Brut and Franciacorta Le Marchesine, alongside a discreet production of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.The bottles of Le Marchesine Franciacorta featured on Xtrawine have been selected from the best vintages of 2010 and 2013 with an ageing capacity ranging from 5 to 10 years, perfect to accompany your fish, pasta and cheese dishes.The Cantina Le Marchesine has approximately 2500 metres of underground space dedicated to the refinement and storage of the bottles. This wine is capable of approaching cuisines with distant, perhaps Asian, interferences, handling sushi, sashimi, spicy and aromatic preparations, even raw fish marinated in herbs to perfection. Among first courses the use of aromatic herbs is recommended, a classic such as trofie with pesto, among second courses white meats with herb dressings.

Harvest In the vineyard with manual harvesting in boxes of maximum 18 kg.
Wine making In white in pneumatic press with soft pressing of the whole grapes and separation of the 1st and 2nd fractions. After static and physical separation from the impurities of the must at low temperatures, selected yeasts are inoculated for fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This is followed by racking and lowering the temperature to around 10 °C to avoid malolactic fermentation. Once the "draught syrup" has been added, the wine is bottled, corked with a crown cap and laid down in a pile for frothing.
