Description
A still red from the Golan Heights in Israel, 14.5% ABV, produced by Golan Heights Winery. 100% Syrah, 2021 vintage. A wine that tells the story of a winery founded in 1983, which produces kosher wines, authorized by rabbis and drinkable even by Orthodox Jews. The vineyards extend from the shores of the Sea of Galilee to the foot of Mount Hermon. Aged for 18 months in small French oak barrels. Aromas of berries and plums with notes of chocolate and vanilla. Ruby red in color. Soft, full-bodied, and persistent, a wine that invites tasting.

Precisely in keeping with tradition, this winery is one of the few to produce exclusively kosher wines, i.e. wines authorised by rabbis and, therefore, drinkable by Orthodox Jews.
The vineyards are located on an area extending from the Sea of Galilee's shores to Mount Hermon's foot at an altitude of between four hundred and one thousand two hundred metres.
The volcanic, basalt-rich soil allows for excellent soil drainage and the relatively temperate climate, given the immediate vicinity of Mount Hermon, is ideal for growing vines. Thanks to the richness and uniqueness of this terroir, the wines produced in this region have a fine structure and lend themselves to ageing. Read more
