Finca Sophenia is a winery recognized as one of the highest quality wine producers in Argentina. To achieve this goal, Roberto Luka, its founder and conductor, chose Gualtallary, Tupungato, Mendoza, one of the most prestigious regions to produce high quality wines.

The result was absolutely gratifying and the wines have already been praised by critics from Europe, America and Asia. The wines started to sell worldwide in 2004 and succeeded to reach more than 25 countries.

Harvest The plot where Malbec comes from isdivided by zones according to the homogeneity of the land. The zone of least vigor is harvested manually at the end of March and the zone of greatest vigor at the beginning of April.
Fermentation temperature 25-30 °C
Wine making In both cases, selection of clusters is made in vineyard and selection table if necessary, at the entrance of the winery. Tank placement by gravity. Pre cold maceration for 5 days. Fermentation by indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures, 25-30 °C. Post fermentation maceration for a variable time according to tasting.
Aging In French oak barrels for 14 months.
