Description
Still red wine from Romagna DOC, 14.5% ABV, produced by Fattoria Zerbina. 100% Sangiovese blend, 0.75L bottle, 2019 vintage. A Sangiovese Riserva that expresses the excellence of the Romagna terroir, with careful vinification and lengthy aging that enhance its complexity. Vinification takes place partly in 500L French oak tonneaux for two weeks with manual punching down and pumping over, partly in medium-capacity stainless steel tanks with maceration for 15-21 days. Aged in French oak barriques (20% new) for 12 months. Red berry aromas stand out, paired with spicy, earthy, peaty, and slightly woody notes. Ruby red. Remarkably powerful, warm, and dynamic, with excellent tannins combined with a light savory finish, very long and persistent.
