Description
A sweet, aromatic Passito from Sicily, produced by Donnafugata, a Ben Ryé Passito di Pantelleria DOC, 14.5% ABV. 2022 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A wine born from the encounter between the sun and the wind of Pantelleria, a tribute to Zibibbo, the island's native grape. The grapes are hand-picked and dried in the sun, a process that concentrates the sugars and aromas. Very intense, with notes of raisins, apricots, and candied orange peel, it also features delicate hints of Mediterranean scrub. Golden in color with luminous amber highlights, it offers its proverbial and extraordinary freshness that balances the sweetness. The typical flavor of dried Zibibbo is complemented by countless other fruity sensations of aromatic herbs and honey. Its complexity is enriched by mineral notes and a very long finish.
