From this winery
  • Start up year: 1964
Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot born in 1964, in Burgundy, in the beautiful Côte de Nuits, the union of two important families in the world of viticulture in Burgundy. The Confuron family, in particular has a wine tradition since the seventeenth century and about a pinot noir strain it even bears the name and is in fact known as pinot-Confuron.

The winery is located in Vosne-Romanèe and includes some of the most prestigious vineyards of Burgundy, with about 11 hectares of its own vineyards, including Grand Cru, Premier Cru and Village. In the vineyard work it is done using traditional methods and respectful towards the environment and plants, favoring low yields and harvests made exclusively in the maximum maturity of the grapes stage.

In the handicraft and traditional cellar of the Domaine, Yves Confuron and his brother Jean-Pierre, the owners and winemakers, not diraspano grapes and practice a long maceration, a few pressing and for aging that will take 18 to 24 months, using wood, primarily 2nd and 3rd passage. The wines are not filtered and end the aging in bottle. Resulting mature red, intense and elegant, extremely long-lived and by the extraordinary drink, that express faithfully the terroir of belonging.
