'Corte' is not just a word but an integral part of the history and etymon of the company's terroir: Franciacorta. Its most reliable meaning dates back to the Middle Ages, when these lands, administered by Benedictine and Cluniac monks, enjoyed exemption from taxes and duties. Aura is a name with even more distant origins: in Greek mythology, she is a nymph, the daughter of Peribea and Lelanto, with movements as fast as the wind. From the Greek "alos" (crown) comes the aura by which the occult defines that subtle field of light radiation, invisible to standard perception, that surrounds and animates all living beings. Aura is the whole of positive energy, like that which animates the company. As a result, the company has combined these two words into one name in homage to its land and, together, to that magical breath of life that can make the fruit of labour something unique and superior.

And then we gave ourselves a symbol, the turtle. A placid animal, which in its proverbial slowness finds great perspectives and waits for extraordinary longevity. From time to time, here in Franciacorta, an indispensable tool for preparing cuvées and waiting for ageing is the slowness with which wines come to life with their pleasantness and longevity. Every vintage is good if the terroir and the cellar are managed with care and passion. Corteaura's story stems from the desire to create a Franciacorta wine of excellent quality. A product of absolute excellence cared for and defined in every detail.

Wine making Soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°C. During the second fermentation, the base wine destined for Satèn is characterised by a lower addition of sugar in the liqueur de tirage compared to brut (18 g/l compared to 24 g/l for brut). This results in less foam development, with a greater delicacy of taste and finesse.
