Description
The Brunello di Montalcino is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for about 30 months and in bottles for one year. It originates from the company's historic vineyards, as early as 1873, Sangiovese was cultivated on the 12 hectares of the 'Vigna Nuova di Fiesole', continuing in its constant quality that is exalted in elegance and finesse.

Today have about 48 hectares of vineyards divided between four quite distinct areas: the Pietradonice in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, the Cetine in Sant'Angelo in Colle, the Cerretalto and il Fiesole near the farmhouse of the same name facing Montalcino. The grapes have improved in quality so more care and attention has been taken in the winery from the vinification to the use of casks of different sizes and made from different types of wood. Wine making | After the grapes have been harvested, which is done strictly by hand, the bunches are transported to the winery, where they are checked on a sorting table to remove any parts that are not deemed suitable for the high quality to be achieved. A machine then separates the grapes from the stalks, which fall onto a further sorting table. The grapes, thus selected, go by gravity into the vats, where the vinification process takes place. |
