From this winery
In the year 1652, Monterosso was founded as a monastery of monks, a detachment of the Precipiano Abbey of Vignole Borbera, where only on the hilltops, given the optimal positions, viticulture was carried out. Today, the estate comprises around 150 hectares in a dominant position at the foot of the Apennines in lower Piedmont on the border with Liguria.
The vineyards are located 300-330 metres above sea level.
Today's winery has an artisanal approach where the family is directly involved in the entire production process.
Methodical rigour and the highest quality standards are applied at every stage of the creation process, from the coordination of production through processing to sales on domestic and international markets. Read more
