Description
On Mount Orfano, amidst the vines, the last centuries-old olive trees and the small oak woods, the Convent of the Santissima Annunciata has been a place of the spirit since 1449, born of the encounter between architecture and nature, between beauty and silence. The Friars of the Convent of the Santissima Annunciata have always produced great wine; Bellavista has been chosen to conduct the cultivation of a unique and unrepeatable vineyard, the expression of an ancient tradition. A zoning study has documented intense and valuable vine cultivation since the Middle Ages on the ridge of the mountain facing south. The oenologist's intuition pursued the signs of nature and interpreted them perfectly; research into historical sources and careful analysis of the soils confirmed his intuition. Above and below a fig tree that, perfect genius loci, divides an ancient vineyard of 5.45 hectares into two parts, there are two different yet complementary soils for creating a small, still cuvée of pure Chardonnay.
