Description
Still red from Valtellina Superiore DOCG in Lombardy, 13.5% ABV, produced by Ar.Pe.Pe. 100% Nebbiolo. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine born from the passion of a family of winemakers who have been cultivating Nebbiolo in Valtellina for over 150 years, a unique area where everything is still handmade. Maceration for 106 days in 50hl wooden vats. Aged for 15 months in 50hl vats and barrels, concrete, and bottle. This wine's name comes from the blend of grapes from two estate vineyards located in the Grumello area. In vintages where the less pronounced tannins suggest a brief aging in large barrels, Valtellina Superiore Grumello Rocca De Piro DOCG surprises with its rapid drinkability.

| Story | Hence the name of this wine, the result of blending grapes from the two estate vineyards located in the Grumello area. In vintages in which low tannins suggest a short ageing period in large casks, the Valtellina Superiore Grumello Rocca De Piro DOCG surprises by the speed with which it acquires drinkability. And when it makes its debut on the table, it is always on time: ready to drink, but also excellent to store in the cellar among the reserves. |
