A tribute to the house's founder, printer at the court of Louis XV at Versailles. 98% Pinot Noir. A wine that combines maturity, complexity, and finesse with intensity and elegance on both the nose and palate. Floral and mineral aromas. Bright golden yellow. It took more than two centuries and several generations of Clouet to get plots of vines in the terroir of Bouzy, which remain in the hands of the family of its founder. Bouzy is situated in the Southern part of the Mountain of Reims. The 9 hectares are classified as 100% Grand Cru. Only 17 of the 300 existing villages benefit from the status of Grand Cru, Bouzy being one of them. Lovingly tended vines ripen perfectly Bouzy pinot noir, one of the world's most complex strains. | Aging | 12 years of hibernation in the cellar. Hibernation: a state of hypothermia that lasts several years and allows the wine to conserve its energy during the ageing period. Renaissance during the hibernation period with an expedition liqueur at 5 grams per litre. Renaissance: an operation that consists of removing the deposit that stirring has concentrated in the neck of the bottle. This crucial operation brings a small amount of oxygen that enlivens the wine.
