Pierre Péters has been a Récoltant-Manipulant for six generations. The company is based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.
The history of this maison began in 1858 when Gaspar Péters, originally from Luxembourg, married a young woman from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger who owned several hectares of vineyards.
It was not until 1919 that Camille, Gaspar Péters' grandson, decided to produce and market bottles on his own. Today, the Maison Pierre Péters, which has borne the name of Camille's eldest son since 1944, owns 19 hectares of vineyards in the Côte des Blancs region and more precisely in the villages of Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Avize and Cramant. Pierre Péters champagnes are all classified as Grand Cru, made from Chardonnay (Blanc de Blancs) with the exception of the Champagne Rosé 'Rosé for Albane'.
The vineyards of the Pierre Péters estate have an average age of 30-45 years and are located in a terroir characterised by an important chalk component. Pierre Péters Champagnes are characterised by the balance and aromas of the Chardonnay, giving the final taste the finesse of the terroir.
