Vigne Marina Coppi nasce nel 2003 anche se tutto inizia nel 2000 anno in cui Francesco si riavvicina a Castellania per la passione della bici e per questi paesaggi naturali straordinari.
Gli incontri con gli anziani del paese e l’amore per questa terra faranno scoccare la scintilla.
La superficie vitata è di pochi ettari, quelli di una piccola realtà familiare, e consente la coltivazione diretta delle uve puntando essenzialmente alla qualità. Il legame con la tradizione ha determinato la scelta dei vitigni per dare importanza all’unicità dei vini.
Il Timorasso, con la sua storia radicata in queste terre a partire dal medioevo, è la varietà d’uva a bacca bianca che più rappresenta quest’angolo di Piemonte. La Barbera, indiscussa regina tra le uve a bacca nera, è da sempre presente nel Tortonese. I vini sono la sintesi tra moderne tecniche di vinificazione e la cura e la competenza che solo chi ama e da sempre conosce queste vigne può dare.
La produzione si può definire “artigianale” e si aggira intorno alle 25 mila bottiglie l’anno.
Questo permette di seguire direttamente e con estrema cura ogni fase del lavoro di cantina, per ottenere vini che esprimono la personalità dell’uomo e la forza della terra.

Soil composition The characteristics of this cru vineyard, which is rich in limestone bring about its elegance, flavour and body.
Harvest After awaiting the proper ripeness of the grapes they are then hand-picked in crates in the early morning hours so as to preserve the diversity of their aroma.
Wine making Soft processing of the whole grapes and then partial cold-straining of the must; alcoholic fermentation takes place slowly at the temperature of 15°C approx. After the completion of fermentation, the wine is transferred and does not undergo further fermentation.
Aging Approximately 8 months in refrigerated steel tanks where it becomes enriched with bouquet and body thanks to manual “batonnage”. Bottled in the month of July it continues its refinement for a further six months.
