The Val di Suga winery is located to the north-east of the municipality of Montalcino; the building, embraced by a long row of cypress trees, welcomes those arriving from Siena to Montalcino. Much of the structure is part of the original complex, all restored and organised to best accommodate the wines during their ageing. An ample underground barrique cellar was built between 2000 and 2001. Today, the cellar has a functional wine-making area that houses the 100 and 150 hl stainless steel tanks and the original 80 and 200 hl concrete tanks. They have been restored externally and glazed internally, but all conserved in the knowledge that they are reappropriating a fundamental value and tradition.

On the other hand, the part dedicated to ageing in wood is made by adjoining rooms separated by sectors. Here are housed different woods that have been identified to enhance the other characteristics of the crus during their elevation. The original circular Slavonian oak casks of 50 and 60 hl mainly house the vintage Brunello. The 60 hl truncated cone-shaped vats are used to age Poggio al Granchio after a brief passage in barriques. The 52 hl oval casks are used for the ageing of Vigna del Lago, while the 300-litre French barriques are used for the ageing of Vigna Spuntali.
