Description

Still red from Puglia IGT, 13% ABV, produced by Tormaresca. 100% Negroamaro. 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A Negroamaro that expresses the soul of Salento, produced with passion by the Antinori family. The grapes were harvested at the perfect level of ripeness and vinified separately by variety in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Maceration, conducted at temperatures no higher than 26°C, lasted 8-10 days. Malolactic fermentation was completed by the beginning of winter. Aged for 8 months in stainless steel. A small portion of the blend was aged in 3rd-4th passage barriques and then blended before bottling. Notes of morello red fruit, berries with light hints of vanilla and coffee. Intense ruby red color. Soft and elegant, with sweet red fruit notes returning in the lingering finish.

Tormaresca has two estates located in the best-known winegrowing regions: Masseria Maime in the Salento area located in the vibrant heart of Apulia and the Tenuta Carrubo estate in the Manduria DOC, a famous area for the production of its Primitivo grape.

Passion, courage and confidence in the immense potential Apulia has to offer in terms of quality are all elements that inspired the Antinori family to invest in this region, in particular in the Salento area. The vision behind the Tormaresca winery was to produce top quality wines from Apulia’s indigenous grape varieties: Primitivo, Negroamaro and Fiano Pugliese.
