Description

Still red, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, 16% ABV, produced by Rubinelli Vajol, 2017 vintage. An Amarone that tells the story of a family that has always lived in Valpolicella, with select grapes that rested for four months in the drying room dug into the tuff, where the natural drying process took place. Aged in 30 hl oak barrels for approximately 18 months. Distinctive aromas of ripe red fruits preserved in alcohol and slightly dried, infused with pleasant spicy notes of licorice and pepper. Intense ruby red color. On the palate, it offers a warm and velvety sensation, a rounded wine with well-balanced flavors, refined, measured sensations that caress the senses. Perfect with red meats, aged cheeses, and rich dishes.

But let us begin with Gaetano Rubinelli, the founder of a family which has lived in Valpolicella for generations. After having projected and built the Chievo Dam along the River Adige, thus supplying electricity to all the Veronese Industries at the beginning of the century, Gaetano Rubinelli bought this lovely country place, fascinated by its perfect setting, and location in the heart of Valpolicella.

During the years the Rubinelli family decide to begin their own production of wine, and thus their dream of expressing the delicacy and excellence of the product of their land, came true! High quality grapes, thanks to growth and maturation in an ideal setting: the soil... the sun..., and the gentle climate and soft breeze of Conca del Vajol.
