Description
Lacrima is an indigenous grape variety of the Marche, specifically from the Morro d'Alba area, and has a long history, with documents attesting to its presence as far back as the Middle Ages. The name ‘Lacrima’ derives from the characteristic drop (i.e. ‘lacrima’) of juice that comes out of the berry when it is ripe. The short maceration on the skins and fermentation in stainless steel on indigenous yeasts give the wine an extremely pleasant and authentic drinkability.
