This story begins in 1890 with Nicola Illuminati and his winehouse, Fattoria Nicò. A dream of craftsmanship and love for a generous land that has been handed down generation after generation. In the 1950s, the family decided to market its wine. They started enhancing the value of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo thanks to the shrewdness and determination of Dino Illuminati and later to the foresightedness of his son, Stefano. An innovative approach to winemaking, which still keeps an artisanal touch.

The success of the company is now ensured by Stefano Illuminati, supported by his brother Lorenzo and the latest generation of the family.
