Description
What kind of wine it is
Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d’Alba Vigna Valmaggiore is a still red wine that elegantly expresses the varietal character of the Nebbiolo grape. In the glass, it stands out for its garnet red colour, introducing an intense and clean aromatic profile, characterised by notes of raspberry and blackberry. On the palate, it offers a dry, harmonious and well-balanced sip. Thanks to its defined structure, this wine is the ideal companion for rich baked pasta dishes and hearty first courses, as well as meat mains, game and medium-aged cheeses.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Piedmont and reflects the identity of the Neive area, an outstanding region for the cultivation of Nebbiolo grapes. The deep connection with the region is represented by the Nebbiolo d’Alba designation and the specific mention of the Vigna Valmaggiore vineyard. The Bruno Giacosa winery meticulously oversees every stage of production, from the vineyard to the cellar. The company carefully supervises the entire process, also collaborating with historic local growers to ensure consistent quality and to respect the authentic expression of the Piedmontese landscape.
How it is produced
Vinification involves a alcoholic fermentation carried out entirely in stainless steel. This technical choice preserves the aromatic purity of the fruit, ensuring a wine with a clear and harmonious profile. The result is a red wine of remarkable longevity, capable of evolving positively for several years. To best appreciate its structural nuances, a decanting time of about an hour is recommended. Served at an ideal temperature between fourteen and sixteen degrees, the wine allows its bouquet to gradually reveal its full complexity.
History and Curiosities
