Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso
| Area type | Autochthonous |
| Color type | Red grape |
| Vigor | Excellent |
| Features | Leaf: large, rounded or pentagonal, five-lobed, smooth, flat; Average fabric consistently; Top green color page; Bottom tomentosa; Basic breasts not very marked; Deep, open breasts; Deep petiole breast, closed at overlapping margins; Wide tooth, not marked, dull.Bunch: pyramidal cone, enlarged to base, medium, spatula, winged, simple; Very long peduncle, vinous red (characteristic); Raspberry herbaceous, vinous red; Green pedicels.Acino: medium, tending to the small, round; Black peel, opaque, slightly peeled, thick, strong enough, not tannic; Sweet, loose pulp; Slightly reddish brush. |
| Features wine | From the refocus from the red peduncle you get a deep ruby red wine, from the scent I mean and fruity, with marasca notes and berries. The great taste-olfactory persistence confirms a taste on a full, slightly tannic and bitter texture. |
| Growing areas | It is cultivated in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto. |
| History | It is an ancient Friulian vine with well-defined characters. Known as early as 1700, it has had a remarkable diffusion across the region over the last decades, replacing other, more productive but less valuable refinements. |
| Notes | Disease resistance: good; Suffers from oidium. |
| Productivity | Slow to get fruit, but later on the vine produces constantly and to a good extent. |
| Ripening period | End of September, first decade of October. |
| Synonyms | refosco, refosco nostrano. |
