Clos de la Briderie

Vincent Girault manages three properties in this unusual corner of the region. The approach is strictly biodynamic. The Priory of Mesland was founded in the 10th century by the monks of the Abbey of Marmoutier, near the town of Tours. Since then, this territory has been cultivated with vineyards. Count Eude II of Blois in 1509, but also Francis I, Cardinal Richelieu and many other wine lovers, with a renowned palate, have appreciated the quality of the wines from this "terroir".

The vineyard extends over 350 hectares of hills on the right bank of the Loire, which is the best exposed one. The Clos de la Briderie is one of the most prestigious vineyards of this denomination. Here they make the best use of Monteaux silicon, which gives a pleasant mineral note that makes these wines unique, while at the same time maintaining care and attention to work in the vineyard where they still use ancestral methods. Fineness, earthiness, expressiveness.
