Year 2024
Biologic
Product name Ronco Bernizza Chardonnay 2024
Color Luminous and intense straw yellow.
Perfume Particularly fruity bouquet, with notes of ripe exotic fruit (pineapple, mango, banana), floral hints of violets, jasmine and lime, citrus nuances, and light buttery, smoky tones that do not, however, cover up the typically varietal characteristics of this grape. The nuances of toast and vanilla deriving from the use of wood are deliberately delicate, in accordance with the intention of making a Chardonnay wine that is not "internationalised" but has a territorial character, expressing at its best the typicality of Collio. With ageing it takes on voluptuous notes of dried fruit, almonds and toasted hazelnuts.
Taste Fresh, savoury, rightly acidic, broad and complex, very consistent with the nose. Quite structured and full in the mouth, persistent and balanced.
Pairings Appetizers, broth soups, eggs and fish. Its creamyness, richness and fullness allow it to have a wide range of combinations, beyond the classic fish, even with rather structured dishes and strong flavors (e.g. mushrooms, truffles). Also excellent with cheeses.

Description

A still white wine from Collio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 13.5% ABV, produced by Venica. 100% Chardonnay, an international classic that finds its ideal terroir in this region. 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. After harvesting, the Chardonnay grapes are macerated for approximately 12–4 hours at a temperature of 10–2°C in special containers, protected from oxygen by innovative systems that recycle their fermentation carbon dioxide, reducing the antioxidant content. The must ferments and ages on the lees for 6 months in large 20–27 HL wooden barrels and 5 HL tonneaux (30%) and in steel tanks (70%). A particularly fruity bouquet, with notes of ripe exotic fruit (pineapple, mango, banana), floral hints of violet, jasmine, and lime, citrus nuances, and light buttery and smoky tones that, however, do not overwhelm the typical varietal characteristics of this grape. Bright and intense straw yellow. Fresh, savory, with just the right amount of acidity, ample and complex, very consistent with the nose.
