In 1765, in the village of Cumières, Joseph Plateau was born, the first generation to acquire vines. In spite of the hard work caused by fragmented plots of land, Joseph went into the wine business and founded the "Maison Plateau". This is how the wine history of the Maison Vadin-Plateau began.
From this first generation, eight others followed, all bringing with them symbolic steps for the House: Rémy Plateau, the sixth generation, was the author of the first brand, "Champagne Rémy Plateau"; his daughter, Yvette Plateau, married Guy Vadin, who in 1958 renamed the brand "Champagne Vadin-Plateau" and gave it its current status of Récoltant-Manipulant by equipping it with a press. Today, 300 years later, the brand is carried on by Yann who uses winemaking methods that brilliantly combine tradition and modernity, thus ensuring the durability of a know-how that is as authentic as it is innovative.
