FAZI BATTAGLIA’s history begins in 1949 at Cupramontana and, since it was born, it’s always been related to the top quality Marche wine, the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico, a type of wine up until now not popular but nowadays well known all over the world thanks to the typical amphora shaped bottle created by our company. A qualified wine production was only the first step towards an increasing success, so much so that in 1956 the company moved to Castelplanio to a bigger modern plant and started buying selected fields that today spread to 280 hectares.

In 1969, Fazi Battaglia bought out an ancient renowned winery in the Chianti area called FASSATI and made it famous thanks to a high quality production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG. The achievement of Fassati’s Wines, as well as the Fazi Battaglia ones, is due to its vineyards. The grounds where the vineyards are planted are carefully selected to guarantee the best grape quality used to make wines; the grounds currently reach an extension of 80 hectares. The same care and expertise is guaranteed in the wine cellar where perfect fusions of traditional and modern technologies work harmoniously together.

After 50 years of experience, Fazi Battaglia enlarged its property to the Morellino di Scansano area: after the grape harvest in 2001, a new company started the distribution of this great red wine from the Tuscany coast, its name is GRETO DELLE FATE, it’s a small winery of 11 hectares that produces a selection of Morellino di Scansano and Vermentino di Maremma and it has the potential to increase its production and popularity thanks to the amazing richness and lushness of the fields where it is placed.

In 2002, the family owner introduced the FB TRADING project that consists of selecting prestigious high quality brands and selling them, in an exclusive way, on the Italian market. Nowadays they distribute a wide range of products including foreign Champagne and Spirits together with their own winery offer.

The Fazi Battaglia group always works to improve itself in the name of tradition and innovation, and with Maria Luisa Sparaco, 3° generation heading the company, with her three children Luca, Barbara and Chiara Giannotti by her side and a valuable and professional staff of partners, has strengthened the past traditions and expanded the foundations for a big future, investing in the quality of the products together with an effective marketing and communication campaign.
