Description
A dry still red wine from Slovenia, 13.5% ABV, produced by Slavcek. 100% Merlot. 0.75 L bottle, 2013 vintage. A Merlot that tells the story of a family of winemakers since 1769, who cultivate their vineyards with passion and respect for nature. The vineyards stretch along the edge of the hills, on a steep slope, whose soils contain rocky and marly components, giving the wine a distinctive mineral flavor. Manual harvesting and the use of minimal sulfur and copper are the foundations of organic farming. On the nose, notes of red fruits such as blueberry and currant are accompanied by spicy notes and toasted notes. Ruby red with garnet highlights. On the palate, the wine is savory, persistent, and full-bodied.
