Description
What kind of wine it is
Champagne Origines Brut Nature by Salima & Alain Cordeuil is an organic wine produced according to the Traditional Method. The blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir appears in the glass with a straw yellow colour and silvery highlights. The bouquet reveals notes of blackcurrant, plum, pear and quince, followed by violet, hazelnut, almond and sweet spices. The palate is rich, smooth and fresh, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage and a long, structured minerality.
Where it comes from
This Champagne originates from the Côte des Bar region. The four-hectare estate surrounds the village of Noé les Mallets, known for having the highest slopes in the area. The vines benefit from a hilly setting that gives the grapes a distinct territorial identity. This location influences the character of the wine, ensuring a marked natural freshness and enhancing an organoleptic profile true to its soil.
How it is produced
Production follows the principles of organic farming, with no chemical interventions. The process excludes the addition of sugars, resulting in a genuine zero dosage that highlights the purity of the grapes. This expressive clarity makes it versatile at the table, pairing perfectly with starters, dishes based on lean fish and boards of selected cheeses. Served between six and eight degrees, it ensures a harmonious, deep and satisfying sip.
History and Curiosities
Born on the highest slopes of the Côte des Bar, this wine embodies the purest essence of the Salima et Alain Cordeuil estate. The historic vineyards, dating back to 1960, offer a precious harmony between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, skilfully enhanced by the rigour of the traditional method. This certified organic sparkling wine is produced with full respect for the land, excluding the use of chemicals and limiting the addition of sulphites. The absence of dosage accentuates its vibrant minerality, resulting in a Brut Nature pas dosé of great structure, awarded 94 points by Decanter.
