Description

What kind of wine is it

Prince Laurent Champagne Brut Rosé is a sparkling wine crafted in France using the Traditional Method. This Prince Laurent label is created from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, resulting in a fresh and harmonious profile. In the glass, the Champagne displays a pink colour with orange highlights and a persistent perlage. On the palate, it reveals notes of red fruits and citrus accents, finishing with a pleasant minerality and long persistence. It is ideal served chilled to best enhance its balanced taste.

Where does it come from

This Champagne originates in the canton of Charly-sur-Marne, in western Picardy, overlooking the banks of the Marne river. The area is characterised by limestone soils, essential for the optimal cultivation of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. The unique riverine microclimate and the nature of the soil shape a wine profile focused on freshness and clean flavours. The vine roots draw a distinct minerality from this land, which becomes tangible on the palate, supporting the wine's finish and giving the grapes an authentic character.

How is it produced

Prince Laurent Champagne Brut Rosé is made using the Traditional Method, preserving the immediacy and fragrance of the blend. The combination of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir develops clear aromas of pomegranate, pear and ripe fruits. On the palate, lively red fruit notes and citrus sensations end in a fresh pink grapefruit finish. Ideal for accompanying starters and red fruit desserts, the wine has an ageing potential estimated between five and ten years, maintaining its structure intact.

History and Curiosities

Born in 1967 from the dedication of the Baron-Fuente family, this elegant Champagne expresses the soul of the chalky soils of Charly-sur-Marne. Vinified according to the authentic traditional classic method, it skilfully blends Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. In the glass, it reveals a bright rosé hue with orange highlights, enhanced by a persistent perlage. On the palate, it offers lively notes of red fruits and citrus, finishing with a pleasant minerality. An enveloping and refined label, perfect for accompanying starters and making every toast memorable.

From this winery
Laurent, descendant of a long line of winemakers grew up on his family’s vineyard in Champagne. In 1914, during the First World War, Laurent had to leave in family to join the army. At the end of the war he could come back to his hometown. It was such a miracle for his family and friends that they welcome him as a Prince.

Hence his nickname, the Prince of Champagne, as he was brave and tremendous during the war. Thanks to his expertise and confidence he elaborated a special Cuvee that he named Prince Laurent. The Prince Laurent Champagnes are still produced with strict adherence to this traditional method, with a rigorous selection of the best grapes to offer fresh and fruity quality sparkling wines for the pleasure of most.
