Description

What kind of spirit is this?

Po’ di Poli Elegante Pinot by Distillerie Poli is a refined young Grappa from Veneto, crafted through artisanal steam distillation from fresh Pinot marc. This transparent spirit features a structured floral character, highlighted by authentic notes of roses, lilies, and gardenias. On the palate, it is gentle and direct, providing an elegant, linear, and well-balanced mouthfeel. To best enjoy its qualities, it should be served chilled between 10 and 15°C in a tulip-shaped glass.

Geographical origin

This Grappa comes from Veneto, a region famed for its high-quality spirits. It is produced by Poli, a family-run distillery based in Schiavon, near Bassano del Grappa, since 1898. The spirit is deeply rooted in this area, which is historically significant for the craft of distillation. A strong sense of place and the use of premium local ingredients ensure that the final profile remains authentic and true to its heritage.

Production process

The production process involves distilling the marc in small batches to maintain precise control over the aromatic profile. The spirit is crafted through artisanal steam distillation using discontinuous copper stills, which allow for a gentle extraction of flavours. This specific technique is designed to capture and preserve the delicate floral notes characteristic of the grape. This meticulous method results in a focused spirit with a clear appearance and a crisp, linear character.
