Description
Still red Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, 15.5% ABV, produced by Montresor. Blend: 60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella. 0.75 L bottle, 2019 vintage. An Amarone born from the passion of the Montresor family, who have been producing wines that express the soul of the Verona area since 1892. Aged in 55 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 3 years. Complex aromas characterized by ripe aromas of red fruit jam, blackberry and plum, cherries in alcohol, and hints of vegetal and forest notes, dried violets, cocoa and cinchona, all against a spicy backdrop of black pepper, licorice, and tobacco. Dark, concentrated ruby red in color. Full-bodied and smooth on the palate, with velvety tannins and a decidedly extractive body. Excellent balance and aromatic persistence. Long finish.
