Description

What kind of spirit is this

Essentiae Rosolio from Lunae is an Italian liqueur crafted from organic pink rose petals, offering a precise and authentic floral character. This spirit reveals a striking golden-yellow colour enhanced by subtle pink reflections. The tasting profile is smooth and aromatic, defined by a clear rose essence that seamlessly integrates with controlled sweetness, delicate fruit notes, and a hint of vanilla. At 33% ABV, it ensures a clean, harmonious palate that finishes with remarkable and intense persistence.

Geographical origin

Essentiae Rosolio originates from the Ligurian Riviera, where the unique coastal microclimate provides the ideal environment for cultivating fragrant roses. The fresh rose petals are grown organically and harvested meticulously to maintain their pure aromatic integrity. Rooted in historic monastic preparations, the recipe captures the essence of its coastal territory, delivering a highly defined and clean floral profile. This regional identity translates into an elegant bouquet, balanced by nuances of fruit, culminating in a harmonious finish that remains beautifully structured.

How it is produced

The creation of this spirit relies on a meticulous natural infusion process that gently extracts the primary aromas from the freshly harvested petals. The roses undergo careful maceration in a precise blend of alcohol, water, and sugar, while the strategic addition of vanilla pods imparts a gentle spiced sweetness to complement the floral notes. Crafted entirely without artificial colours or preservatives, the liqueur develops its authentic golden hue directly from the raw ingredients. Once the elements are fully integrated, the result is a beautifully complex rosolio liqueur.

History and Heritage

Inspired by ancient monastic recipes, Essentiae Rosolio by Lunae Bosoni elegantly captures the authentic spirit of the Ligurian Riviera. This authentic Italian liqueur honours centuries of local artisanal heritage and ancient monastic traditions.

The lands of Ortonovo and Castelnuovo Magra, little villages on the border between Tuscany and Liguria, lie on the hills facing the Mediterranean Sea and protected by the marble peaks of the Apuam Alps. Here rises Luni, the ancient Roman city so shiny and rich of marbles that the Barbarians, descending from the Alps, took for Rome by mistake.

Cantine Lunae deepen their roots in the millenary hystory of this land and people, whose great vine-growing and wine-making tradition have inherited. Etruscans, or perhaps Ligures and then Romans, were the first to grow vineyards in the surroundings of the beautiful Luni, the "Moon City".

These lands have given birth to our vineyards, to our passion, to our wine!
