Description
What kind of spirit is this?
Essentiae Liquore di Arancia by Lunae is an Italian liqueur crafted from untreated fruit. This expression presents a deep golden yellow colour, leading to an enveloping and precise aromatic profile. Bottled at 38% ABV, it offers a smooth, balanced structure. The palate delivers a harmonious and distinctive citrus taste, centred entirely on sweet orange notes that culminate in a remarkably clean finish.
Geographical origin
Hailing from Liguria, this liqueur benefits from a Mediterranean climate that fosters an expressive fruit profile. Production relies exclusively on untreated sweet oranges, carefully selected and harvested between January and March. Using only fresh peels ensures the aromatic profile remains direct and vibrant. This coastal origin imparts an intense orange character, shaping a defined style that authentically reflects its local environment.
Production process
The crafting process follows a historical recipe grounded in a long maceration period to ensure precise extraction. Carefully prepared orange peels infuse gently with alcohol, water, and sugar over an extended timeframe. This methodical approach allows the liqueur to maintain clarity while developing an intense aromatic concentration. Through this considered technique, the liquid achieves its engaging bouquet and a deeply harmonious sweet flavour.

Cantine Lunae deepen their roots in the millenary hystory of this land and people, whose great vine-growing and wine-making tradition have inherited. Etruscans, or perhaps Ligures and then Romans, were the first to grow vineyards in the surroundings of the beautiful Luni, the "Moon City".
These lands have given birth to our vineyards, to our passion, to our wine!
