Description
A dry still white wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 13.5% ABV, produced by Livio Felluga. Blend: Friulano/Sauvignon Vert, Pinot Bianco, and Sauvignon. Vintage: 2022. A wine that embodies the history and passion of a family that has been producing excellent wines for six generations. Since 1956, the Livio Felluga winery has featured an ancient map of the hilly region of Friuli on its label. Harvest: Manual, in the last ten days of September. The grapes are delicately destemmed and left to macerate for a short period. They are then softly pressed, and the resulting must is clarified by decantation. The Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon ferment at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, where they mature for approximately ten months. The Friulano, on the other hand, is fermented and aged in small French oak barrels. After approximately ten months, the wines are blended. The bottled wine was aged in temperature-controlled cellars for approximately nine months. Deep straw yellow. Intense, refined, complex, with great personality and persistence; hints of tropical fruit perfectly blended with notes of Mediterranean scrub, acacia blossoms, hawthorn, citrus zest, saffron, sweet almond, graphite, and saltiness. Seductive, deep, harmonious, rich, savory, soft yet vibrant; an aromatic, intriguing, and persistent aftertaste with hints of bergamot, sage, and marine minerals.
