Description
Still organic red wine from Abruzzo, 14.5% ABV, produced by La Valentina. 100% Montepulciano. 0.75L bottle, 2021 vintage. A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo born from passion and respect for the territory, with careful vinification that enhances its unique characteristics. Maceration and fermentation for approximately three weeks in steel vats. Aged for 16 months partly in 25hl oak barrels and partly in both new and second-use barriques. Aged in 25hl oak barrels and aged for a year in bottle before release. An attractive and refined bouquet of blackberries and blueberries, plum jam, red pepper, damp earth, juniper, cloves, cigar tobacco, and an elegant balsamic finish. Bright, deep ruby red with violet highlights. A full and powerful palate, satisfying with a vibrant tannic texture, the glycerine component gives depth to the body and volume to the flavor; the olfactory returns are perfectly coherent, concluding with a refined and endless balsamic finish.

Our wines are the natural products of our own terroir – our unique combination of terrain and soil – which we try to convey to every bottle and which is the secret of our original taste. The local micro-climate and the land itself, to which our vines are bound and so well-adapted, give us wines of unique and distinctive character. We are convinced that a fine wine is born from the sum of countless tiny details, so our objective must not only be to consistently produce fine wines, but also to make sure that they are and will always remain authentic.
