Description
Still red wine from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by La Valentina. 100% Montepulciano, 2023 vintage. A wine that expresses the soul of Abruzzo, fruit of the passion of the Di Properzio family, who have cultivated the hills of Spoltore since 1990. Fermentation and maceration for approximately 10 days in steel vats. Aged for approximately 18 months, 80% in steel and the remaining 20% partly in 25hl oak barrels and partly in second-use barriques. It expresses aromas of black cherry, strawberry jam, aromatic herbs, tea leaves, and light spicy notes in the background. Intense ruby with violet reflections. On the palate, it is soft and intense, with smooth and compact tannins; it closes with a slightly savory finish with mentholated aftertaste and a pleasant persistence.

Our wines are the natural products of our own terroir – our unique combination of terrain and soil – which we try to convey to every bottle and which is the secret of our original taste. The local micro-climate and the land itself, to which our vines are bound and so well-adapted, give us wines of unique and distinctive character. We are convinced that a fine wine is born from the sum of countless tiny details, so our objective must not only be to consistently produce fine wines, but also to make sure that they are and will always remain authentic.
