Description

Dry white wine from Gavi DOCG, 12% ABV, produced by La Scolca. 100% Cortese. 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A Gavi dei Gavi Etichetta Nera that represents the excellence of the Piedmontese winemaking tradition, produced by La Scolca since 1919. A wine born from the passion of the Soldati family, who have elevated the Cortese grape, giving life to this celebrated Gavi. Vinified off the skins, cold, partially macerated on the skins; left, until bottling, in contact with the (native) yeasts of the first fermentation or "sur lie". Pale straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections. Intense, long, continuous, persistent, ranging from fruity to floral depending on the stage of evolution. Ample, savory, hints of flint; almond and walnut on the finish with notes of citrus (orange, lime).
